We use only plant-based and cricket-based protein because they use fewer natural resources and are less polluting. Plant-based proteins produce 11x times less greenhouse gases than meat protein. Cricket farming requires 13x less land and 2,000x less water than livestock farming.
Upcycling minimises waste being sent to landfill and reduces the need for production using new raw material, which means a reduction in air pollution, water pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. We're using upcycled certified maple and barley rice in our products and aim to increase the use of upcycling in our list of ingredients to reduce our carbon footprint.
Our commitment to the planet does not stop with our list of ingredients. By 2025, we plan to make our packaging 100% reusable, recyclable, or compostable. Our goal is to reduce the need for raw materials to be extracted and processed into new packaging materials. Reducing pollution and greenhouse gas emissions while conserving natural resources such as energy and water.
